June 11 - Artist Reception

Reserve your free tickets for an evening Artist Reception for Jen Smith's Sky Hunters exhibit in the Marcia and Bob Ross Gallery at the World Center for Birds of Prey. Join us on June 11th, 6:30 - 8:30pm!

June 14 - Nest Drawing Workshop

In this Nest Drawing Workshop Jen Smith will conduct 3 hours of charcoal drawing instruction. She will teach basic charcoal drawing techniques. Students will walk away with a tool belt of drawing skills and a finished work of art. Drawing materials and paper will be provided. We suggest that you bring a sketchbook or journal to take notes. 

In this immersive class, students will draw an actual nest.

June 15 - Drawing an Owl from Still Life

In this class Drawing an Owl from Still Life Jen Smith will conduct 3 hours of charcoal drawing instruction. She will teach basic charcoal drawing techniques. All students will get a chance to develop a tool belt of drawing skills and will walk away with a finished work of art. All drawing materials and paper will be provided. We suggest that you bring a sketchbook or journal to take notes.   

A taxidermy owl will be the model that students will draw from. Jen will go over how to use the charcoal drawing techniques to capture details in feathers, eyes, talons, and overall body proportion.
